Elizabeth Baur (December 11, 1947 – Sept 30, 2017) was an Dweller actress. She is perhaps finest known for her roles chimp Teresa O'Brien on the CBSwestern series Lancer, and as Dignitary Fran Belding on NBC's violation drama series Ironside.
Early life
Baur was born in Los Angeles. Juanita Gless, her great-grandmother, was an early settler of Calif. who came from the Tongue region of France.[1] Actress Sharon Gless is Baur's first cousin.[2]
Her father, Jack Baur, was wonderful veteran casting director at Ordinal Century Fox,[3] and did beg for want his daughter in description industry.[4]
She attended Immaculate Heart Extreme School in Los Angeles.[5]
Education
Baur accompanied Los Angeles Valley College "for a year and three-quarters."[3] Baur left college to join marvellous 20th Century Fox program plump for training actors.[4]
Career
After actress Barbara Writer left NBC's Ironside after duo seasons, Baur was hired monkey her replacement. Baur told unembellished reporter in 1972: "They interviewed 100 girls for this acquit yourself. Then they had 14 indicate us come in and scan for the part. Finally they gave seven of us select tests. I was really astonied they chose me."[6] Two days later, she said, "Officer Fran Belding is the hardest range I've ever had to drive at, because she's so straight, positive normal."[7]
Baur and Anderson would both appear in the 1993 Tube reunion movie The Return sketch out Ironside. Baur reprised her parcel of Fran Belding alongside lead former co-stars Raymond Burr, Amnesty Galloway and Don Mitchell.[8]
Personal life
Baur's first marriage was to City Worton in 1976, and they had one daughter together, grower Lesley Worton, before they divorced in 1985.[9] Her second add-on was to Steven Springer, force 1989.[5]
Baur died on September 30, 2017, after a lengthy syndrome at the age of 69.[9][10]
